The original cannon, the Howitzer, and mortars. They each play a big part in the war. Cannons were light and easy to move from place to place, and fired solid shot, grape shot, and canister. They all could easily tear holes in buildings. The mortars were mounted on a flat bed made of wood. They fired at high trajectory. They used cannon balls, and bombs in the mortars. The bombs caused much more damage and injuries. The howitzer combined the cannon AND the mortar. The howitzer fired cannon balls and also bombs.
